Vertical Turn Is used in conjunction with an up-easing to connect the raking handrail with the horizontal handrail over a greater vertical distance vertical turn
Volute Handrail/Turn Is a decorative end-handrail which curves round horizontally (to the left or to the right) into a scroll, and is used in conjunction with a volute newel picture of a volute turn
Volute Newel A volute newel is a newel turn which sits under and supports a volute handrail photo of a volute newel turn
